Come see sheep being sheared in a similar way as they would have in the 1790s. Also see other events associated with cool like teasing  the wool, caring, and spinning into yarm. Come and better understand the weaving and dyeing process.

Summer Flax Fest

Revolutionary War Encampment

Meet the 8th Pennsylvania Regiment as they set up camp on the grounds and re-enact the daily life of the Revolutionary War solider's activities. Watch young soldiers being recruited and drilled. See the rifles and weaponry display. This is event is from Saturday September 20, 2014--Sunday September 21, 2014

Children's Harvest Festival

A fall festival with children's frontier activities such as tin punching, corn crafts, games, butter churning, and quill pen writing.

Enjoy the enchanting atmosphere of the Oliver Miller Homestead at dusk with candles and lanterns lighting your way. Hot cider and cookies will be sold!

An 18th Century Thanksgiving

See at traditional meal for the Miller family being prepared at the open hearth, fire pit, and bake oven. A feast will be on display!

Hogmanay

Celebrate the end of the year with a traditional Scottish new year celebration! Enjoy dancing by the Scots-Irish Dancers in our barn and look at traditional Scottish food dishes being prepared. The house will be decorated in a Western Pennsylvania frontier style.
